  • About

In 2017, less than 3% of samples in three top developmental psychology journals came from countries in Central and South America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East and Israel¹.

Even less authors from these regions published in these outlets. I am one of them.

I am a developmental psychologist, researcher and university professor from South America. English is not my first language. Why blog in English though? Well, maybe I will write about this sometime.

In this blog I attempt to address issues related to the discussion on cultural diversity in psychology and other sciences, and its hidden meanings, assumptions and pitfalls.

Other posts may include: science communication, history and sociology of science, methods, academic life, and random musings.

I also have a Brazilian Portuguese version of this blog (on hold and with other posts, not translations).

See my website for contact, and more information on my work.
